Chesterfield, MO – ShowMeCables.com, an ecommerce retailer and distributor of network cables and cabling products, has released a new live chat customer service feature on their website. The feature will allow customers to instantaneously contact a representative directly from any webpage. “Our business is technical and, therefore, our customers frequently have questions,” said Pete Foley, President of ShowMeCables. “We are known for having the most knowledgeable and the most available customer service and sales reps. This chat feature is just one further step in making our knowledge available to our customers.”
The chat room, available from any webpage on the site, opens in a new window, allowing customers to ask questions about a product without leaving that page. The ShowMeCables representative is able to see the page that the customer is viewing and any items in the customer’s cart. “Whether that customer is on our PAL adapter, VGA monitor cable, or Cat5e patch panel page, they can click the chat button and ask a question about a product,” said Pete Foley.
The Web 2.0 Initiative focuses on improving the browsing experience from the end-user experience. The Coax Adapter Quick Find Chart improves the user interface of the website and allows quicker browsing for customers. The user interface improvements are just one aspect of the initiative, alongside utilization of social networking, bookmarking websites, and live customer service chatting.
ShowMeCables, which grew out of the sister company Integrated Network Cables, has been consistently ranked as one of the fastest growing businesses in the Saint Louis area and is listed as a Fortune 5000 company.
