New Offerings at EC09 to Help Attendees “Survive”

2008-10-13, Katie Kiaha
Denver, CO — Environmental Connection (EC09), the annual conference and expo of the International Erosion Control Association (IECA), is the world’s largest soil and water event. Over 2000 attendees and 160 exhibitors will connect in Reno, Nevada, USA, February 9-13, 2009. World-class education, the largest expo hall of its kind and new networking events: EC09 will help businesses survive and even thrive in difficult economic times. Attendees can choose from over 20 full-day training courses and new technical sessions that have been organized into tracks to help them get the most from their training dollars. The expo, February 10-12, will showcase the latest in erosion, sediment control and storm water products and technology. With more expo hall hours, attendees won’t have to choose between attending sessions or exploring the expo. Registration is now open to the public for 2009’s must attend event. Course descriptions and registration information are available at http://www.ieca.org/conference/annual/ec.asp.

To help ease the financial impact of attendance, IECA has implemented new registration options for EC09 that make full-conference participation more affordable than ever. For one flat rate, conference attendees will have access to the expo hall, half-day courses, Monday’s field tour, technical presentations and conference activities— including special tours, for the entire conference. This full-conference registration will also include all lunches and the expo hall Grand Opening Celebration. If attendees would like to participate in full-day training courses, these will be available at an additional cost. “We feel that one flat price for the basic registration will help reduce the impact that conference delegates in many areas are feeling from the economic slowdown,” says Russell Adsit, IECA Executive Director.

Along with its partners, Erosion and Sediment Control Network (ESCN.tv) and Land & Water Magazine, IECA also is giving away two full-conference registrations to EC09 and three nights lodging at the Atlantis Casino Resort in Reno with the “I’m a survivor” contest. From now until November 19th, ESCN.tv viewers will have the opportunity to answer a new question every week and be entered in a drawing to win this grand prize. Additional details are available at http://www.escn.tv.
