Studio City, CA May 7, 2008 - In an effort to counteract the negative messages that much of today's music sends to kids, L.I.F.T. (Living Intelligently for Today) is hosting a series of concerts at Nimitz Middle School in Huntington Park on May 16th, 2008. L.I.F.T. is a non-profit organization founded and operated by a team of music industry professionals that delivers a positive and inspirational message to children by bringing live music to their schools. Discouraging negative behavior such as violence, drug abuse and gang affiliation, L.I.F.T. performers serve as positive role models for young students and promote living a healthy and focused lifestyle."The kids look up to us because we're recording artists and they like our music," says David Longoria, one of the performers contributing to the L.I.F.T. program. "It's a perfect time to share positive behavior and attitudes with them". Longoria, an international trumpet player and vocalist, shares the stage with April Diamond and Juliet B Rock. The three artists are part of this year's L.I.F.T. concerts line-up and are performing at hundreds of schools and Boys and Girls Clubs across the United States. There will be four concerts throughout the day beginning at 9:15, 10:20, 11:25 and 1:10 and each set will be around 45 minutes. The performers' musical genres range from pop to Latin jazz to rock and each is decorated with uplifting lyrics of optimism and encouragement. The biggest in its district, Nimitz Middle School has approximately 3,100 students and is located at 6021 Carmelita Ave, Huntington Park, CA 90255. For more information about the L.I.F.T. program, call Anne Kay at 818-763-5838 or visit www.liftonline.net.###

1 Vote(s)
