(San Francisco, CA) --- The ever-popular amphibious tour operator, Ride The Ducks, has just made a big splash into the San Francisco tourism industry.
Ride The Ducks is the nation's largest amphibious tour operator, with a fleet that exceeds 75 vehicles, carrying over 1,200,000 guests each year around the United States. Founded in 1971, the company’s mission is to "create Quack-tastic memories worth repeating" ™ by offering guests an entertainment sightseeing experience that is fun, informative and engaging.
“We are thrilled to bring the Ride The Ducks experience to San Francisco and equally excited about being a part of this great city,” according to Cory Roebuck, General Manager of the San Francisco operation.
The 90-minute sightseeing tour includes about 60 minutes on land and 30 minutes on the water. Ride The Ducks’ San Francisco sightseeing tour winds through the city’s historic streets and neighborhoods, splashes down into McCovey Cove and “quacks” along the bay with an engaging captain who entertains passengers with captivating stories of San Francisco’s legendary past and tales from the intriguing present.
Sights along the route include: Fisherman’s Wharf, Chinatown, Ghirardelli Square, Union Square, SOMA, AT&T Ballpark, Bay Bridge, McCovey Cove and of course, spectaculars views of the city-by-the-bay.
The only duck tour in San Francisco with the famous Wacky Quackers™, guests enjoy their complimentary yellow-billed duck whistles as they quack at pedestrians on this engaging and educational tour.

In addition to sharing San Francisco’s illustrious and fascinating history, Ride The Ducks also offers a bit of world history. The vehicles used for this land and water adventure are modeled after the DUKWs that carried troops and supplies during WWII.
Ride The Ducks is the amphibious tour industry leader – with over 75 vehicles in operation on rivers, lakes, bays and other waterways around the USA. The Ride The Ducks vehicle is considered a “state of the art” amphibious vehicle built from the ground up to maximize a safe and comfortable tour for our guests. US Coast Guard certified Ride The Ducks vehicles are not refurbished WWII vehicles.

Ride The Ducks, operates seven days a week (11 a.m. to 5 p.m. in spring and fall; 10 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. during the peak summer season). The ticketing and boarding location is at Fisherman’s Wharf at the corner of Jefferson and Taylor streets. Adult admission is $32; children admission for ages 5-17 is $23; admission for seniors, ages 62+ is $30; children 0-4 are free. Bay Area residents (with driver’s license as proof of residency) will pay only $20 for adults/seniors and $10 for children through the end of December, 2008. Special discounts are also available for groups of 20 or more.
