CEDAR CREEK, TEXAS, August 18, 2008 – Reliable Brand Organics today announced its intention to become the first commercial grower in the U.S. capable of providing locally grown, certified-organic produce year round beginning October 1, 2008. The announcement comes in the wake of recent concerns over produce contamination and an increased demand for flavorful organic fruits and vegetables.

“People want food that’s safe and tastes like it’s supposed to taste,” said Founder and CEO Steven Crider. “That’s what we offer: contamination-free produce with in-season flavor all year long.”

Reliable Organics’ greenhouses are currently located outside of Austin, Texas in Walnut Creek and in Cedar Creek, where it is currently trialing heirloom variety tomatoes, cucumbers and bell peppers. But Crider says its operation can be operated in any community virtually anywhere in the nation.

“We want to be anywhere our customers need us,” he said. “This is vital for restaurants that need fruits and vegetables delivered at their peak ripeness. It is also increasingly important for retailers who have previously relied on supplies from out of the country during the off-season.”

In conjunction with the announcement, Reliable Organics unveiled its new website, www.reliablebrandorganics.com. The site offers information on its USDA certified-organic line of produce and will keep retailers and restaurants updated on tomato varieties and other produce available year round.
