MONROVIA, CA – Dr. Thomas Li, Senior Director of Technology Management at Roche will be speaking at GTCbio’s 2nd Annual Rediscovering Biomarkers Conference on July 10-11, 2008 in Boston, MA. Dr. Li will present on current trends, issues and topics in biomarker discovery, assay development and platform development.
Dr. Li’s presentation is intended to provide an overview on current trends, issues and topics in cancer biomarker discovery, clinical validation and commercial development. Recent published articles on cancer biomarker candidates will be discussed. Examples of diagnostic protein marker panels, multi gene signature and gene expression profiles will be utilized to illustrate the concept of early detection, survival prognostic, treatment selection, response to therapy and companion diagnostics types of biomarkers. Issues of clinical validation in multi-center studies and commercial development and regulatory hurdles will also be discussed.
The 2nd Annual Rediscovering Biomarkers Conference will expose attendees to the latest advancements and developments in biomarkers and predictive medicine.
