Sony has released information about a new energy saving TV, which will use memory stick, or usb flash drive technology to display still images instead of rational DVD or other imaging technology.
The company is convinced that their new range of TV’s will use up to 35 percent less energy when displaying images from a memory stick, and that they will provide users with a more versatile living environment when they are not watching their TV.
Although Sony is yet to announce an official launch date, it is believed that the Bravia W4000 LCD screens will be the first to incorporate the new technology.
Video content will be screened at 24 frames per second, and the technology will initially be available on 32 inch, 40 inch, 46 inch and 52 inch models.
