Houston – The Tasting Room at Uptown Park announces the opening of its new “Reserve Room,” a luxurious, comfortable space dedicated to providing unparalleled wine, food and service to Houston’s wine and food lovers. The 1,000 square foot room comfortably seats up to 60 and will officially open to the public on Monday, February 4.

“Many of our customers have told us they are looking for the next level of wine service, in a posh, private setting,” said Jerry Lasco, founder and co-owner of the Tasting Room and MAX’s Wine Dive. “Staffed at all times with a dedicated sommelier, the Reserve Room will provide patrons with the most attentive and unique wine bar experience in Houston – it will truly be a VIP experience.”

The Reserve Room features handsome sofas, banquettes and leather club chairs, plush carpeting, intimate lighting and personalized table service. Guests seated in the Reserve Room may choose from an exclusive, limited list of “cellar selection” wines from around the world, all served in the finest Riedel crystal stemware. In the near future, The Reserve Room will add a climate-controlled wine cellar where customers can store their favorite TTR wines.

To complement the stellar wine list, food offerings will include a selection of gourmet appetizers, tapas and other delicacies, according to co-owner Jonathan Horowitz. “We have created a simple, yet upscale menu that perfectly complements the fine wines served in the Reserve Room,” said Horowitz. “The menu includes items like fried artichoke hearts, seafood cocktail, pan-seared salmon, and filet mignon with risotto. There’s something for everyone, whether they’re looking for a light bite, or more substantial fare.”

Originally opened in 2004, TTR Uptown Park has grown from its original 1,000 square-foot footprint to its current 7,600 square-foot size, and now includes several private spaces that are available for corporate and private events. TTR Gourmet’s kitchen, which has gained a loyal lunchtime following since opening in July 2007, will remain open to serve gourmet sandwiches, soups and salads from the bar between 11 am and 3 pm, and will continue to provide off-premise catering services.

The new Reserve Room is located at The Tasting Room at Uptown Park, 1101-18 Uptown Park Boulevard, 713.993.9800. Reservations are available for tables in the Reserve Room. The Reserve Room opens each day at 4:00 p.m. The Reserve Room also is available for corporate and private events.
